PLEASE anybody? i mean Yahoo messenger, and it's driving me nuts! it's working fine on my phone, so i KNOW i have an active account, but it disappeared yesterday, midsentence, and now it doesn't even show up on my toolbar anymore.

i really am a computer idiot, but i hope you guys are smarter than the jerks at yahoo live help chat dudes. those ppl are no help at all.

if you have vista open up the start orb and type in yahoo it should pop up

if pre vista control panal and programs uninstal and see if still there

Did you check your programs on your computer to see if it's still there? Go to start and then programs, if it's not there then you need to install it again.

Uninstall Yahoo Messenger.

then go to yahoo.com and go to messenger and download it again.


for yahoo toolbar. why the hell you want that? just takes up more space on your screen.

its an web based IM client of major IMs such as msn, yahoo, myspace, and aim. I've used it in the past where i can't access a certain IM if i'm not at my computer..or if it just doesn't work..like in your case. Meebo is great at most things except using a webcamera or file sharing.

My Yahoo Messenger was screwing everything up so bad, I uninstalled it, and everything was fine. I tried to reinstall it, and everything started screwing up again, so I uninstalled it again. Things are fine, so I say 'GOOD RIDDANCE'!

You don't need it in your tool bar to use it you can use the web version. Maybe you need to upgrade computer/messenger.

 

I am getting really pissed at Yahoo mail. It no longer keeps you logged in and I have to re sign in every time. For the last week it won't send any pictures, claiming it has a problem with them, but no explanation and when you re-try the same old crap it wont send them.

Their damned improvements try to fix things that aren't broke, and then they are afterwards.

 

have you checked under profile settings??? EL
because I am sure there is a setting to keep you logged in for two weeks unless you sign out...
and there has always been a problem sending pictures, especially attached files - at least for me.

For your problem you'll probably be best if you uninstall it then redownload it.

Yahoo can be really stupid. There was a time when I couldn't get my cam to work, but everything else worked fine. Then the smilies wouldn't show up. Another time when photo sharing wouldn't work. Nowadays Yahoo is just my spam service, anytime I have to sign up for a website or something that I think will send me a ton of spam I use my yahoo account.

Obviously for official stuff like job searching, sending resumes, etc. I use something different. I don't think companies would be too impressed with my sending in a resume using titop1mp as my handle

 

This sounds like a job for the uninstaller program I use that is amazing. Go here and download revo uninstaller. www.revouninstaller.com

Than run it with a advance scan on yahoo messenger, run the built in, scan the registry, and files and folders. IMPORTANT follow all on screen directions since this scans into the registry its important to follow all on screen instructions and commands.

Once it is completely uninstalled reboot the machine than proceed to messenger.yahoo.com to get the latest version that is not the beta

I hope this helps you. I have found that a COMPLETE uninstall of yahoo is needed sometimes to get that bitch working again as for that toolbar yah ditch it. Let me know if you need help via PM.
